For clearer, calmer, healthier-looking skin — without stripping your skin barrier.
Press & Clear is the Medik8 toner I reach for when we’re working with blemishes, congestion, blackheads, enlarged pores or post-blemish marks.
It contains 2% salicylic acid (BHA), which works within the pore to help clear away excess oil and dead skin cells. This makes it particularly useful for congested and blemish-prone skin, while the formula is designed to be gentle enough for sensitive skin too.
What I really like about Press & Clear is that it isn't just about attacking blemishes. It takes a much more balanced approach — helping to keep pores clearer while also supporting the skin barrier.
It also contains tranexamic acid, which helps target the appearance of those stubborn dark marks that can be left behind after a blemish has gone.
Why I recommend it
- Helps clear and decongest pores
- Reduces the appearance of blemishes and blackheads
- Helps minimise the look of enlarged pores
- Helps improve the appearance of post-blemish dark marks
- Supports a healthy skin barrier
- Gentle enough for sensitive, blemish-prone skin
- Non-sticky, non-greasy and non-drying
- Available as a refill — better for your skin and better for reducing packaging waste
How to use
After cleansing, apply Press & Clear to the skin using a reusable cotton pad, avoiding the delicate eye area.
If you're new to BHA, start once a day and see how your skin responds. You can build up to twice daily if your skin is happy with it.
Emma’s Tips
Don't think more is better! If you're using Press & Clear, you don't need to throw lots of other exfoliating products at your skin. That's one of the biggest mistakes I see with blemish-prone skin.
I like to introduce it gradually and make sure we're also supporting the skin barrier with good hydration.
And remember — if you're using it alongside vitamin A or other active ingredients, your whole routine needs to work together. This is where I can help you build the right routine for your skin, rather than simply buying lots of products.
My goal is always clearer skin without compromising the skin barrier.
